Wanted: Man Used Stolen Credit Cards To Buy $3K In Pokemon Cards In Lakeland And Plant City

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk County sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help to identify a man accused of buying nearly $3,000 worth of Pokemon cards using stolen credit card numbers at hobby shops in Lakeland and Plant City.

According to reports under Polk County Sheriff’s Office Case 26-28905, the suspect made two separate transactions on July 11, 2026. The man first spent $1,284 on Pokemon cards at the Flo-Go Shop, located at 2254 East Edgewood Drive in Lakeland.

Shortly after, he traveled to nearby Plant City and bought an additional $1,698.50 in trading cards from the Plant City Card Shop. Investigators later determined that stolen credit card information was used to complete both purchases.

Detectives have released surveillance images of the suspect taken during the transactions. Anyone who recognizes the individual or has information about the fraud is urged to contact Detective Ryan at 863-292-3396 or by email at WRyan@polksheriff.org.
