In a powerful display of unity and grief, conservative leaders and thousands of supporters have gathered at State Farm Stadium today for a memorial service for Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old activist who was assassinated earlier this month. The event, held in the NFL stadium that can seat over 63,000, is a testament to the immense impact Kirk had on the conservative movement.

The service, designated a Special Event Assessment Rating (SEAR) Level 1 event—the same security classification as the Super Bowl—is a who’s who of prominent political figures.

President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance are scheduled to speak, along with Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk. She was recently named the new CEO of Turning Point USA, the organization her husband co-founded, a role she has vowed to use to continue his mission.

Other speakers slated to address the crowd include White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Donald Trump Jr., who described Kirk as being “like a little brother.” The lineup of speakers, many of whom had close personal and professional ties with Kirk, underscores his influence within the administration and his role in mobilizing young voters.

Kirk was shot and killed on September 10 while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University. A 22-year-old suspect has been charged with aggravated murder. Kirk’s death has sent shockwaves through the conservative world, with tributes pouring in from across the political spectrum.

Beyond his role as a conservative organizer, Kirk was a prolific public figure, known for his talk radio show, podcast, and engaging debates on college campuses. He also drew controversy for his staunch support of the President and his “Professor Watchlist,” which targeted college instructors he accused of spreading “leftist propaganda.”

Today’s service in Glendale, a city near the Phoenix headquarters of Turning Point USA, serves as both a memorial and a rallying cry for the movement Kirk helped build. Organizers anticipate a massive crowd, with attendees undergoing “TSA-level screening” to ensure security. The event will also feature performances by several Christian musicians, reflecting Kirk’s deep-rooted faith.
