POLK COUNTY, Fla. – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation into a burglary and vandalism case involving hate speech on a private property in the Waverly area, east of Winter Haven. According to Case 26-10332, the incident occurred on March 5, 2026, at approximately 5:45 p.m.
Authorities state that suspects trespassed onto the property, entered a structure, and spray-painted the interior. The damage included vulgar images and a swastika.
Because the individuals were captured on video arriving on foot, investigators have noted a high probability that the suspects live in the immediate vicinity of the crime scene.
The Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking the public’s help to identify the individuals involved. Detective Lang is leading the investigation and can be reached at 863-236-3900 or via email at ALang@polksheriff.org.
