Wedding Woes: Florida Man Gets Married, Arrested After Drunken Attack On Police

Florida man had a wedding to remember. After tying the knot, Jeffery Johnson, 22, spent his wedding night in the Lee County Jail.

Deputies responded to Trinity Street East in Lehigh Acres on Saturday where they saw Johnson being restrained by guests.

Sheriff Deputies say that while drinking with friends and family, Johnson became aggressive with the guests.

While deputies were gaining control of the situation, the combative groom transferred his violence from his guests to responding deputies.

Johnson kicked, battered, and spat on deputies while they tried to calm him down. Deputies did not sustain any injuries during this altercation.

Once successfully secured in handcuffs, Johnson was transported to the Lee County Jail. Johnson was charged with Battery, and two counts of Battery on Law Enforcement Officers.
