HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A Weeki Wachee man operating a motorcycle died Wednesday morning following a collision with a sedan on US-19, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 10:10 a.m. on October 22, 2025, near the intersection of US-19 (Commercial Way) and Berkeley Manor Boulevard.
According to FHP, a Cadillac XT5, driven by an 84-year-old Weeki Wachee man, was traveling southbound on US-19. At the same time, a Kawasaki motorcycle, operated by a 48-year-old Weeki Wachee man, was heading northbound on the highway.

The crash happened as the driver of the Cadillac attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot at 4780 Commercial Way, turning directly into the path of the northbound motorcycle. The motorcycle subsequently struck the Cadillac.
The 48-year-old motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash and was pronounced dead. The 84-year-old driver of the Cadillac sustained minor injuries.
