LUTZ, FL. – A 36-year-old Wesley Chapel man was killed in a crash that happened early Monday morning on SR-54 and Livingston Ave.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the man was traveling westbound on SR-54 near Livingston Road at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the car around 3:54 am.
Troopers say the vehicle crossed the center median and eastbound lanes of SR-54 before colliding with a utility pole.
Upon impact, the car caught fire and the driver suffered fatal injuries at the crash scene.
