POLK COUNTY, Fla. – An ongoing search for a West Virginia woman wanted on felony charges ended quietly in Polk County this week.
On Thursday, May 28, 2026, Deputy Sheriff Benjamin with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrived at a home on Oleander Avenue in Auburndale. His specific objective was to locate and apprehend 48-year-old February Michelle Williams.
According to agency records, Williams was wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Calhoun County, West Virginia, for embezzlement.
When the deputy made contact with Williams at the residence, she immediately identified herself and cooperated fully with law enforcement during the arrest process.
Williams was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Polk County Jail. Law enforcement officials confirmed that she will be held locally as a fugitive from justice pending her extradition back to West Virginia, where she faces the unresolved financial crimes charges in Grantsville.
