“This is about a lot more than abortion … this reminds me of the debate with Robert Bork … [who] believed the only reason you had any inherent rights was because the government gave them to you,” he said.

What A Life: Biden Works For 5 Hours Between Vacations

The Washington Post recently suggested that President Joe Biden staying out of the Oval Office has been the best thing for his presidency.

The Washington Post recently suggested that President Joe Biden staying out of the Oval Office has been the best thing for his presidency.

After all, remaining in his basement full-time seemed to be the smart move when he was a candidate.

The Post noted on Aug. 2 that as the double-vaxxed, double-boosted Biden remained in seclusion as fought off a double bout of COVID-19, he had overseen “a remarkably successful, if short, stretch of his presidency.” In that span, Congress passed the $280 billion “Chips and Science Act,” Senate Democrats struck a deal to ram through the horribly misnamed Inflation Reduction Act, and the U.S. military zapped al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri with a pair of Hellfire missiles.

“Work from home, it turns out, has been good for President Biden,” the Post observed.

Apparently, the 79-year-old Democrat wants to keep his frail mojo going by not going to work.

On Aug. 10, Biden began a weeklong summer vacation with his family at Kiawah Island, a private beach and golf resort in South Carolina.

On Aug. 16, Jake Schnieder, a Republican National Committee spokesman, tweeted that Biden returned to the White House, only to immediately depart again.

Biden’s schedule for that day showed him leaving South Carolina shortly before noon for arrival at the White House around 2 p.m. He then planned to sign the Inflation Reduction Act around 3:30 p.m., and by 7 p.m. was on his way to his home in Delaware for more time off.

This could be Biden’s standard MO.

Recall that in early July The New York Times reported that Biden needed to return to the U.S. before visiting Saudi Arabia. Why? So he would have more time to rest after being in Europe.

The Daily Mail reported on Wednesday that Biden has spent 150 days – or 26 percent of his presidency – in Delaware. That tally will be padded by a few days since he is expected to stay in his home state through the weekend.

In a recent piece on Biden’s down time, The Washington Examiner described him as a “relatively frequent vacationer,” who was outpacing either of his immediate predecessors when in come to taking time off.
