WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – A 19-year-old Winter Haven man was arrested Saturday after allegedly throwing a paver through his neighbor’s glass door during a dispute over a $20 payment for lawn services.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Da’Karai Lamb was taken into custody on September 20th and charged with felony criminal mischief and throwing a deadly missile at a building.

The incident occurred around 7:10 p.m. when the victim was awakened from a nap by the sound of his glass door shattering.

Deputies say the homeowner discovered a paver had been thrown through the door. He then saw Lamb, who lives in the same neighborhood and does lawn work for him, running away from the scene.

The victim told authorities that he had missed several calls from Lamb while he was napping, with the calls requesting payment for the services.

Damage to the residence is estimated to be around $2,000. Lamb was transported to the Sheriff’s Processing Center following his arrest.
