Police are still seeking answers in the disappearance of a Florida mom who vanished on February 10, 2019, and has not been seen or heard from since.

At around 11 pm on February 10, 2019, Keyonna Cole, then 27, was seen in the Marin Luther King Jr. Boulevard area walking towards Broad Street in Brooksville, Florida.

The following day, Keyonna didn’t attend an appointment at the State Attorney’s Office to discuss an attempted murder case in which she was the victim.

Three months prior to Keyonna vanishing, her ex-boyfriend, Dwayne Williams, attacked and strangled her. Keyonna was five months pregnant at the time and the attack claimed the life of her unborn baby.

Williams was arrested for the brutal attack but was out of jail on bond awaiting trial at the time of Keyonna’s disappearance.

According to reports from the family, Keyonna was concerned about testifying in the attempted murder case. She was reportedly receiving threats in the weeks leading up to her disappearance.

In June 2020, the case against Williams was dismissed for lack of evidence, as Cole was the only witness to the attack and she couldn’t be found.

Keyonna’s family members believe that Williams has information about her disappearance, but at this time no arrests have been made in the case.

Keyonna left behind a three-year-old son who family members say she would have never abandoned.

If you have seen Keyonna Cole or know her current whereabouts, please contact Detective Nikki Stevens with Hernando County Sheriff’s Office at 352-754-6830 or your local law enforcement agency.
