A woman is in custody today facing three counts of vehicular homicide following the November 21, 2024, crash that claimed the lives of three Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office lawmen.
State Troopers arrested Corrine Adrianna Blue after a judge in the 15th Judicial Circuit Court signed off on a felony warrant, concluding months of investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
The charges stem from a collision that killed Corporal Luis Paez, Deputy Sheriff Ralph “Butch” Waller, and Deputy Sheriff Ignacio “Dan” Diaz while they were on duty. Investigators determined that Blue’s actions behind the wheel met the legal criteria for vehicular homicide under Florida Statute 782.071(1)(a).
The arrest marks a major turning point for the families of the fallen deputies and the local law enforcement community.

Executive Director Dave Kerner expressed gratitude to State Attorney Alexcia Cox for pursuing the felony warrant, noting that while the case now moves into the hands of a jury, the focus remains on the legacy of the three men.
“We remember Corporal Luis Paez, Deputy Sheriff Ralph ‘Butch’ Waller, and Deputy Sheriff Ignacio ‘Dan’ Diaz as heroes of our community,” Kerner said. “We recognize the pain and loss their families, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, and the community at large have experienced.”
State Attorney Alexcia Cox emphasized that the decision to charge Blue was not made lightly. According to Cox, the charges followed a meticulous review of the crash evidence.
“These charges… mark an important step in the pursuit of justice for the families,” Cox stated. “These deputies were serving this community when their lives were tragically taken by a reckless driver.” Blue remains in custody as the judicial process begins.
