Woman Found Dead From Gunshot In Her Leesburg Home’s Laundry Room

A 37-year-old woman was found dead in her home early Monday morning, according to Leesburg Police Department.

LEESBURG, Fla. – A 37-year-old woman was found dead in her home early Monday morning, according to Leesburg Police Department.

Police say at approximately 2:39 AM, Leesburg patrol officers responded to the 1200 block of Penn Street, in reference to a suspicious incident.

A caller told police they believed their friend, a 37-year-old female was dead.

When officers arrived they discovered a black female laying on the floor of an attached converted laundry room.

The woman appeared to have been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene. Leesburg Detectives responded to the scene and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
