PLANT CITY, Fla. – A woman was hit and killed by an Amtrak train in Plant City Friday.
According to police, on Friday, at approximately 5:00 p.m. a black female adult attempted to cross the railroad tracks on Maryland Avenue just south of Baker Street when she was struck and killed by a westbound Amtrak train.
Plant City Police Department members are on the scene investigating.
Maryland Avenue is closed from Baker Street to Church Street.
