TAMPA, FL. – A woman’s body was recovered from the Hillsborough River Friday morning, according to the Tampa Police Department.
Police say at 11:05 am TPD’s Emergency Communications Center received a report of a body in the Hillsborough River near W. Comanche Ave. and Ola Ave.
“Our Marine Unit responded and removed a woman’s body from the Hillsborough River,” said Tampa PD PIO Sandra Bentil.
A death investigation is underway, pending results from the medical examiner.
