President Donald Trump has returned from his Middle East “triumph” victory lap in Israel and Egypt, but it’s not the monumental Gaza ceasefire he’s focused on—it’s his hair.
The U.S. President has publicly taken issue with Time Magazine’s latest cover, which celebrates “His Triumph” in sealing the ceasefire, but, in Trump’s estimation, severely missed the mark on his appearance. The controversial cover image, according to the President, “disappeared” his signature hair and featured “something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one.”
Taking to his Truth Social platform upon his return from Sharm El Sheikh on Tuesday, Trump called the picture “may be the Worst of All Time.”
“Really weird!” he wrote. “I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture, and deserves to be called out. What are they doing and why?”
Hair Apparent vs. Historic Achievement
The magazine’s article detailed the painstaking efforts of envoy Steve Witkoff and advisor Jared Kushner to broker the Gaza ceasefire, calling the deal a “signature achievement of Trump’s second term” that could usher in a “new era” for the region. Trump even conceded that Time had written “a relatively good story about me.”
Despite the flattering coverage and the outpouring of support he received abroad—including Egyptian leader Abdel Fattah el-Sissi telling him “only you” can bring peace—it’s the aesthetics of the cover that stole the spotlight upon his return.
Middle East Trip Concludes with Top Civilian Honor
The President’s focus is quickly shifting back to domestic matters.
Trump is due to posthumously award the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom, America’s highest civilian honor, on what would have been Kirk’s 32nd birthday. Kirk was assassinated in September while debating students at Utah Valley University.
Speaking about the ceremony, Trump called Kirk “a friend of all of ours” and said, “Erika, his beautiful wife, is going to be here, and a lot of people are going to be here.”
