A terrifying scene unfolded on Interstate 95 early Sunday morning when a wrong-way driver slammed head-on into a semi-truck, sending two people to the hospital and leaving authorities piecing together a bizarre aftermath.
The crash occurred just before 2 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95 near Titusville. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), a Toyota Corolla was speeding southbound directly into oncoming traffic when it collided with a semi-truck.
The impact sent the semi veering off the road and onto the grassy shoulder, while the Corolla careened out of control, eventually striking a guardrail and coming to a halt on the side of the highway.

When troopers arrived to assess the wreckage, they discovered a strange twist: the 32-year-old driver of the Corolla wasn’t inside the vehicle. He was eventually located lying in the bushes nearby.
Both the driver and his 23-year-old passenger suffered serious injuries and were rushed to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the semi-truck escaped the collision unharmed.
Troopers have stated that charges are currently pending against the driver of the Corolla as the investigation continues.
