Social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, has suffered a massive outage, knocking the service offline for users worldwide.
The blackout appears to be total. Unlike previous glitches where the interface would load but fail to display new posts, the site and mobile app are currently refusing to load entirely. Visitors attempting to access the platform are largely seeing a completely blank screen.
While some users have reported seeing Cloudflare error pages, the failure appears to originate internally at X. This marks a departure from recent technical incidents where Cloudflare issues were responsible for taking X offline.
Reports on the outage tracking website Down Detector spiked dramatically around 10 a.m. Eastern Time. The disruption is widespread, affecting access across all regions and devices, including the web version and mobile applications.
There is currently no word on the cause of the crash or an estimated time for restoration.
