“You Dead?” Georgia Man Sentenced To Life Plus 100 Years For Chilling Kitchen Execution

A Georgia man will spend the rest of his life behind bars after a Cherokee County jury took less than an hour to convict him of the cold-blooded murder of his wife.

Kelvin Demond Williams, 48, was sentenced on March 26, 2026, to life in prison without the possibility of parole, plus an additional 100 years, following a trial that centered on harrowing home security footage of the July 2025 attack.

The incident unfolded on the night of July 13, 2025, when deputies arrived at a residence on Daventry Crossing around 10:40 p.m. They had been dispatched after a 16-year-old boy called 911, reporting that his stepfather was shooting at him and had already shot his mother.

Upon arrival, authorities found Williams standing near the garage doorway calmly smoking a cigarette.

Inside the home, deputies discovered 48-year-old Tenisha Williams dead on the kitchen floor from a gunshot wound. A 4-year-old child was also found in the house, unharmed and asleep in a nearby bedroom. The weapon used in the killing was recovered from the kitchen island, right where Williams had been standing moments before his arrest.

Evidence presented by prosecutors painted a picture of extreme domestic control. Investigators revealed that Williams had spent years isolating Tenisha from her family and monitoring her every move. In a tragic turn of events, evidence showed that on the day of the murder, Williams actually forced his wife to purchase the firearm and ammunition he would later use to kill her.

The most damning evidence came from the family’s own in-home security system. The footage showed Williams firing at his teenage stepson before cornering Tenisha in the kitchen.

Despite her begging for her life, Williams fired the fatal shot. According to court records, Williams then stood over her body and asked, “You dead, bitch?”

Superior Court Judge Shannon Wallace handed down the maximum sentence, ensuring Williams will never be released. The judge also issued a permanent no-contact order, strictly prohibiting Williams from ever reaching out to the victim’s children or their extended family.
