Zephyrhills Man Struck And Killed By Vehicle While Crossing CR-54: FHP

Pedestrian Killed in Tragic Crash on CR-54

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross CR-54 on Tuesday night. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) confirmed the fatality, which occurred around 9:16 PM, west of Massey Road.

According to the official FHP crash report, a 33-year-old Zephyrhills man was walking along the shoulder of CR-54 before stepping into the path of an eastbound Ford Escape. The vehicle, driven by a 75-year-old man, also from Zephyrhills, was unable to avoid the collision.

The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital with critical injuries, but later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Ford Escape was not injured in the crash.
