Two Florida men have been charged with drug trafficking conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl. They both face a maximum of life in federal prison.
According to court documents, the alleged criminal activity took place between January 25 and February 4, 2025.
The indictment states that Clarence Black, Jr., 49, of Tampa, and Jarrek Fabrion Myrick, 39, of Fort Myers, allegedly traveled to California and orchestrated the shipment of large quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl to the Tampa area and various locations within southwest Florida.
Law enforcement authorities intercepted these packages, which contained a total of more than 90 pounds of methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Black has a previous federal conviction for possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine. Myrick has a prior conviction for second-degree murder.
The investigation leading to this indictment was a combined effort involving the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the Tampa Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Mark Morgan.
