23-Year-Old Man Dies In High-Speed Motorcycle Crash On Wesley Chapel Boulevard

WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. – A 23-year-old Wesley Chapel man died Thursday afternoon following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Wesley Chapel Boulevard near the intersection of Progress Parkway.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, around 12:25 pm, the man was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle northbound on Wesley Chapel Boulevard. Troopers said the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the rider lost control of the bike.

The motorcycle then left the roadway, colliding first with a street sign and subsequently striking a light pole. The impact resulted in fatal injuries to the rider, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
