The Florida Lottery announced a string of big wins this past week, with seven lucky players across the state claiming prizes ranging from $1 million to a staggering $10 million through various Scratch-Off games.
The week kicked off on Monday with two $1 million claims. Douglas Marbry, 63, of Melbourne, struck gold with the GOLD RUSH LEGACY Scratch-Off. Purchased at a Circle K in Melbourne, his $20 ticket turned into a $1 million prize, which he opted to receive as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.
The Circle K where he bought the winning ticket earned a $2,000 bonus commission. Reflecting on his win, Marbry, a long-time Lottery player, said, “Winning now means more than it would have years ago. The timing is just right.”

Also on Monday, Ruth Cain, 53, of Brooksville, claimed a $2 million top prize from the TRIPLE JACKPOT Scratch-Off game. Her winning ticket was purchased at a RaceTrac in Brooksville, which will receive a $4,000 bonus commission. Cain also chose the one-time, lump-sum payment, taking home $1,209,700. The $10 TRIPLE JACKPOT game boasts over $132 million in total cash prizes and offers overall odds of winning at 1-in-3.49.
Tuesday saw two more $1 million winners from the $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR Scratch-Off game. Oscar Lopez Peluszkiewiez, 58, of Cape Coral, purchased his winning ticket at a Publix in Fort Myers. Similarly, Brittainy Williams of Port Richey bought her lucky ticket at a Winn-Dixie in New Port Richey. Both winners opted for the one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.
The respective retailers, Publix and Winn-Dixie, will each receive a $2,000 bonus commission. This $50 Scratch-Off game features two top prizes of $1 million a year for life and 234 prizes of $1 million, with over $1.6 billion in total cash prizes and overall odds of winning at 1-in-4.50.

The winning streak continued on Wednesday when Benjamin Chiurliza, 63, of Davie, claimed a massive $5 million top prize from the MONOPOLY™ SECRET VAULT Scratch-Off game. His winning $20 ticket was purchased at a Publix in Miramar, which earned a $10,000 bonus commission. Chiurliza chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $2,884,920.
Thursday brought another $1 million win from the $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR game. Roques Costa, 58, of Delray Beach, claimed his prize at the Lottery’s West Palm Beach District Office. His winning ticket was bought at a Publix in Delray Beach, which will receive a $2,000 bonus commission. Costa also selected the one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.
The week culminated on Friday with the largest win: Enrique Albo, 57, of Hialeah, claimed a $10 million top prize from the GOLD RUSH LEGACY Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Miami District Office. Albo’s $20 ticket, purchased at a 7-Eleven in Hialeah, turned into a life-changing $10 million, which he chose to receive as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $6,030,000.
The 7-Eleven will receive a significant $20,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket. The $20 GOLD RUSH LEGACY game, launched in April 2024, features four top prizes of $10 million and 20 prizes of $1 million, with over $894 million in total cash prizes and overall odds of winning at 1-in-2.97.
Scratch-Off games play a crucial role in the Florida Lottery’s portfolio, accounting for approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in the fiscal year 2023-2024. Since its inception, these games have awarded over $66.9 billion in prizes, created 2,350 millionaires, and generated more than $20.09 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF). This past week’s lucky winners add to the growing list of Floridians whose lives have been positively impacted by the Florida Lottery.
