According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, drowning is the leading cause of unintentional death in US children 1 to 4 years of age. In addition, drowning is the third leading cause of unintentional death among US children and adolescents 5 to 19 years of age.

Sadly state data shows, a record number of 98 children drowned in Florida throughout the span of the 2021 year. In order to fight these tragic statistics, we must work together as a community to prevent these tragedies from occurring.
