Register A Block Party, Popular Clearwater Neighborhoods Day Event Returns In March

CLEARWATER, FL. – Mark your calendars on Saturday, March 26 for the return of Clearwater Neighborhoods Day, a citywide series of neighborhood block parties celebrating community spirit.

The popular event where the city of Clearwater staff and elected officials tour the city and visit neighborhood block parties is back in 2022, for the first time since 2019. The time is now to register your neighborhood’s party to receive a $275 grant from the city.

Registering to host a block party between noon and 6 p.m. on March 26 will mean a planned visit from city staff and elected officials, as well as a stop by the ever-popular Kona Ice shaved ice truck to your party.

Applicants are asked to register a block party by March 1 at myclearwater.com/neighborhoodsday.

Participating in the city of Clearwater’s Neighborhoods Day is an excellent way to bring a neighborhood together and celebrate community spirit.

“We are so excited to be bringing back Neighborhoods Day in Clearwater. This is a great way for people to come together to celebrate what makes their neighborhoods special, get to know city staff and visit with elected officials,” said Clearwater City Manager Jon Jennings.

To receive a grant, applicants must provide a site plan or map with each application. Plans must include details regarding the location of all operational equipment, such as tents, barricades, port-o-lets, cooking areas, and inflatable amusements such as bounce houses. A site plan must also show locations where alcohol will be served. No site plan is required if your event is taking place exclusively on private property.
