60-Year-Old Man In Critical Condition After Pedestrian Crash In St. Pete

ST. PETERSBURG, FL. – A 60-year-old man is in critical condition after a crash that happened late Wednesday night in St. Pete.

Police say at 10:40 p.m., an Orange Hyundai sedan, was traveling eastbound on 5th Avenue South in the median lane. 

The 60-year-old man was crossing 5th Avenue South, mid-block.  He was not in a crosswalk and was wearing dark clothing. He walked into the Hyundai’s path of travel and was struck by the vehicle.

He was transported from the scene to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with life-threatening injuries.  He is still in critical condition at this time.
