The Air Force Academy is enforcing the jab for its cadets right to the bitter end/
According to The Washington Times, three academy cadets who refused a COVID-19 vaccine on religious grounds will be allowed to graduate. Still, they won’t participate in the school’s May 25 graduation event and, more importantly, will not be commissioned as new second lieutenants in the Air Force.
Moreover, as President Joe Biden considers abolishing millions of dollars in student debt owed by other college graduates, the Biden administration may force the Air Force Academy cadets to reimburse the government tens of thousands of dollars for the cost of their education.
That decision rests with Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall.
However, all of that could go away if the trio of cadets concede and get jabbed, the Times reported.
A lawyer representing the cadets and the Republican congressman whose district includes the academy were not pleased by the Biden administration’s decision.
The decree “is petty, vindictive, disrespectful and unnecessary,” said attorney Mike Rose.
GOP Rep. Doug Lamborn said in a statement, “America was founded on the principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, which encompasses protecting the religious rights of the individual.”
“That includes those who put on the uniform and volunteer to serve our nation. It is imperative that our military leaders uphold the constitutional rights of these cadets,” he said.
Last month, the Military Times reported that about 3,400 military personnel have been discharged from their respective services for refusing the shots. About 70 percent were given general, instead of honorable, discharges.
