Rep. Matt Gaetz took time out from the controversy caused by ousting former Speaker Kevin McCarthy to note that President Joe Biden’s corruption continues.

The Fort Walton Beach Republican on Wednesday denounced Biden for the nomination of Hampton Dellinger to lead the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, whose main job is to protect government whistleblowers.

Dellinger is a former law partner and associate of first son Hunter Biden.

The New York Post reported that Dellinger worked on the Crisis Management and Government Response team at the well-heeled law firm of Boies Schiller Flexner in 2014. Hunter picked Dellinger’s firm to assist Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company on whose board Hunter sat that eventually came under investigation for corruption.

Reports in conservative media note that it is unclear if Dellinger provided legal services to Burisma, which saw the Ukrainian investigation wither after 2015, when then-Vice President Biden pledged to withhold U.S. aid until Ukrainian officials fired their lead prosecutor.

But emails pulled from Hunter’s notorious laptop show the pair met on at least two occasions.

The appointment matters because the corrupt practices that have prompted an impeachment inquiry into President Biden were revealed or confirmed by IRS whistleblowers.

In a statement, Gaetz noted that the agency Dellinger was nominated to head is responsible for “protecting our nation’s civil servants from political targeting.”

“While Joe Biden tries to convince America that there was zero influence between him and Hunter’s business deals, he appoints a close friend of Hunter to protect the Biden Crime Family from accountability,” Gaetz said.

“As both the House and Senate have called on the OSC to investigate the Biden administration’s retaliation against IRS whistleblowers, who have accused [Attorney General Merrick] Garland and DOJ of burying probes into Hunter Biden’s alleged crimes, Dellinger should withdraw his nomination.”

“If confirmed by the Senate,” Gaetz continued, “Dellinger’s appointment would send a chilling message to civil servants everywhere: you are not protected, and you will continue to be targeted by the Bidens if you look into the real crimes committed by the president’s family.”

The White House’s official statement of Dellinger’s nomination did not mention his work at Boies Schiller Flexner, or any connection to Hunter.

Meanwhile, neither the left-wing media nor search engines were ready to trumpet Biden’s nominee.

A Google search Wednesday night of “Hunter Biden” and “Hampton Dellinger” revealed stories in the multiple conservative outlets, including the Post, Breitbart News, Newsmax, the Washington Free Beacon, The Federalist, and The Daily Caller.

Google, meanwhile, offered the following message atop all those results: “It looks like the results below are changing quickly. If this topic is new, it can sometimes take time for reliable sources to publish information.”
