Deltona Man Pleads Guilty To Transferring Unregistered Firearms

ORLANDO, Fla. James Edward Snider, Jr., a 25-year-old resident of Deltona, has pleaded guilty to transferring machinegun conversion devices that were not registered as required by law.

He faces a maximum of 10 years in federal prison, with sentencing scheduled for December 11, 2024.

According to court documents, Snider transferred one or more machinegun conversion devices that were not lawfully registered—a search of Snider’s residence located additional machinegun conversion devices and firearm silencers.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives investigated this case, which is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Adam J. Nate.
