A trip to a local Circle K turned into a life-changing event for one Bradenton resident. Today, the Florida Lottery announced that Gary Moore had claimed a $1 million prize from the popular 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game.
Moore purchased his winning $50 ticket from the Circle K located at 836 301 Boulevard E. in Bradenton. He opted to receive his winnings as a single, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00, collecting his prize at the Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

The fortunate purchase also resulted in a bonus for the retailer; Circle K will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
The 500X THE CASH game, priced at $50 per ticket, is notable for featuring the largest top prize ever offered on a Florida Scratch-Off game – a staggering $25 million. The game boasts impressive odds of becoming an instant millionaire and offers more than $1.66 billion in total cash prizes. The overall odds of winning any prize in the game are 1-in-4.23.

Scratch-off games remain a cornerstone of the Florida Lottery’s offerings, accounting for approximately 74 percent of ticket sales during the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
Since their inception, these games have not only awarded over $65.5 billion in prizes and created 2,283 millionaires but have also significantly contributed to education in the state, generating more than $19.80 billion for Florida’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
