TAMPA, Fla. – The northbound lane on North Hesperides Street between West Henry Avenue and West Hillsborough Avenue is currently closed.
This closure, which began at 9:00 AM today, Wednesday, April 30, 2025, is necessary while the Tampa Water Department conducts additional maintenance on the water distribution system.
Expect the following:
- Northbound Lane Closure: Only the northbound lane will be affected.
- Daily Closures: The northbound lane will be closed from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.
- Reopening: All lanes will reopen each day by 5:00 PM.
- Continued Work: The northbound lane will close again at 9:00 AM on subsequent days to continue the work.
- Traffic Management: Barricades and flaggers will be present to assist with rerouting and ensure smooth traffic flow.

The Tampa Water Department anticipates the work to be completed and normal traffic patterns to resume by 4:00 PM on Friday, May 2, 2025.
Please note that the Tampa Water Department may need to return at a later date for additional work, and an update will be provided if this occurs. Work schedules are subject to weather conditions.
