ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The City of St. Petersburg is now accepting applications for its Social Action Funding Grants, offering crucial financial support to social services agencies dedicated to addressing homelessness within the city. Agencies providing homeless services and/or homeless prevention services are encouraged to apply for funding, with individual grants potentially reaching up to $100,000.

The grant program aims to bolster the efforts of organizations working to support vulnerable populations experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Priority for funding will be given to agencies serving populations identified as priorities by the Pinellas Continuum of Care. These priority groups include disproportionately-represented minority groups, Veterans, Families with Minor Children, Older Adults (62+), chronic homeless households, and unaccompanied youth (18-24).

Eligible organizations have the opportunity to submit multiple applications for various programs that offer essential services. These services can include providing storage units for the personal belongings of individuals experiencing homelessness, operating call centers that support homelessness prevention or assist those currently homeless, and establishing discretionary funds for street outreach initiatives targeting homeless individuals and families.

The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, June 20. All applications must be submitted electronically through the Neighborly portal to be considered for funding.
