St. Petersburg Seminar To Teach Older Residents, Mothers How To ‘Nurse The Mind’

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A seminar aimed at promoting mental and physical well-being for older residents and mothers is scheduled to take place on May 15 at the Five Towns Terrace Park in St. Petersburg. Titled “Nursing the Mind,” the event promises a “wellness wonderland” of information and resources.

The seminar will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Magnolia Auditorium, located at 7950 58th Ave N. It will feature four speakers covering a range of health and wellness topics.

Bernadette Holman, a business development specialist at Arden Courts, will discuss maintaining a healthy brain through diet. Estrella Espinoza, a financial advisor at Edward Jones, will provide an introduction to their services. Joan Sitting Bull, CEO of The Chrysalis Vision, will speak on a journey through mind, body, and spirit. Sara Im, president of Smart Healthy Living, will host the seminar.

In addition to the speakers, the event will include a health fair with 20 vendors offering information on various health-related subjects. Attendees can learn about functional alternative medicine, home healthcare services, Medicare, captioned telephone services, senior medical primary care, and medical research.

The seminar will also feature door prizes, giveaways, refreshments, and entertainment.

Sara Im, the event host, emphasized the importance of the seminar as the weather warms up. “As the weather gets warmer, it is important for older residents to discover how to keep their mind and body healthy,” said Im. “It looks to be a great day for residents of Five Towns.”

The event is sponsored by Arden Courts Promedica Memory Care, Edward Jones, The Chrysalis Vision, Home Instead, and Smart Healthy Living.

The fair is open to both residents and non-residents of Five Towns, with no entrance fee required.
