The Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network today announced its 2024 economic impact results, highlighting a robust year of support for the state’s entrepreneurs that translated into billions of dollars in economic activity and the creation of thousands of jobs.
As Florida’s principal provider of small business assistance, the Florida SBDC Network operates more than 40 offices statewide, offering no-cost professional consulting, training, and market research to help business owners achieve their goals.

In 2024, the network delivered over 107,000 hours of consulting services to more than 15,000 clients. These extensive efforts directly contributed to significant achievements for Florida’s small business community, including:
- $304 million in capital secured
- $732 million in government contracts awarded
- 19,800 jobs impacted (created or retained)
- $3.8 billion in increased sales
- 1,019 new businesses launched
“These numbers represent more than just data – they tell the story of our team and the determination of Florida’s small businesses,” said Greg Britton, state director of the Florida SBDC Network. “They reflect dreams realized, jobs created, and communities strengthened.”
