TAMPA, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at a townhouse located at 4010 Cedar Limb Ct in Tampa’s Kirby Creek community on Wednesday. The emergency dispatch center received multiple 911 calls at 4:11 PM reporting a fire at the residence.

Upon arrival, the first fire engine encountered heavy flames coming from the rear of the townhouse. Firefighters immediately initiated an aggressive interior attack, deploying hose lines to combat the blaze and prevent its spread. They were able to bring the fire under control within fifteen minutes of their arrival.

Fortunately, all occupants of the residence had safely evacuated before the arrival of emergency personnel. However, one firefighter sustained an injury during the firefighting efforts and was subsequently transported for medical attention. The firefighter’s condition is reported as stable.

The Hillsborough County Fire Investigations Unit is currently on scene, working to determine the origin and cause of the fire.

In the aftermath of the incident, the American Red Cross has been contacted to provide assistance and support to the residents displaced by the fire.
