Land O’ Lakes Woman Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle On SR-54 And Collier Parkway

LAND O’ LAKES, Fla. – A 21-year-old Land O’ Lakes woman died early Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross State Road 54 in Pasco County, according to a report released by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

The crash happened at approximately 5:00 AM on Thursday, west of the Collier Parkway intersection.

FHP troopers reported that a 20-year-old man from Tampa was driving a Dodge Challenger eastbound on SR-54. The female pedestrian was running southbound across the highway when she entered the direct path of the vehicle.

The woman was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of critical injuries, but later died, according to troopers.
