Tampa Police Search For Missing Autistic Man

TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing autistic adult who walked away from his residence in the 2100 block of Cool Springs Road (Belara Lakes Apartments).

Demetrius Kendron White Jr., 22, was last seen at approximately 10:30 PM on Friday, May 16, 2025. This is the first time Mr. White has gone missing.

He is described as a 22-year-old black male, standing 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 110 pounds. He has short, twist-style hair and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, red pajama pants featuring the Flaming Hot Cheetos logo, and white Crocs.

Authorities have noted that Mr. White has been diagnosed with both schizophrenia and autism.

The Tampa Police Department is urging anyone who may have seen Mr. White or has information regarding his whereabouts to contact them immediately at 813-231-6130 and refer to Tampa Police case number 25-278959.
