Frostproof Man Arrested After Allegedly Attacking Three With Knife

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Frostproof man is behind bars after allegedly attacking three individuals with a knife early Saturday morning. Corey Ahearn, 30, was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) and taken to the Polk County Jail.

According to PCSO, deputies responded to a residence on Queens Court in Frostproof at approximately 3:29 am on Saturday, May 17th, following reports of a disturbance involving a man yelling and attacking others with a knife.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered that two men and one woman had sustained superficial cuts. The victims reported that Ahearn had been yelling about the government and swinging an 8-inch knife at them and a nearby window.

Deputies on the scene were able to take Ahearn into custody without further incident. He has been charged with three counts of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, one count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Improper Exhibition of a Dangerous Weapon.
