SARASOTA, Fla. – A fatal motorcycle crash on Honore Avenue south of Bahia Vista Street closed a significant stretch of the road Tuesday evening. The road has since been reopened.
The incident, which occurred around 6:50 PM, prompted a response from the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, Sarasota County Fire Department, and Florida Highway Patrol.
Details surrounding the crash remain limited at this time, but authorities have confirmed at least one fatality. Emergency crews were on the scene.

As a result of the investigation, Honore Avenue was completely closed to traffic from Bahia Vista Street south to Cork Oak Street.
More information on the crash is expected to be released from Florida Highway Patrol, and this story will be updated.
