Valrico Man Fatally Struck By Two Vehicles On SR-60: Florida Highway Patrol

VALRICO, Fla. – A 68-year-old Valrico man tragically lost his life Wednesday evening after being struck by two vehicles while attempting to cross State Road 60. The incident occurred east of Strawberry Ridge Boulevard at approximately 9:20 PM.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Toyota Corolla, driven by a 52-year-old man from Dover, was traveling eastbound on SR-60. Following behind the Corolla was a Toyota Camry, operated by a 26-year-old woman from Zephyrhills, also heading eastbound.

Authorities say that the 68-year-old pedestrian walked into the path of the oncoming vehicles. He was initially struck by the Toyota Corolla and then subsequently by the Toyota Camry.

Emergency services responded to the scene, but the pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the crash site.
