PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Melvin Pharris Davis has been located and is safe, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. The Silver Alert has been canceled.
Original Report: Authorities in Pinellas County have issued a Silver Alert for 86-year-old Melvin Pharris Davis, who was last seen Wednesday morning at his Dunedin residence. Concerns are growing for Mr. Davis’s safety due to memory issues.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Mr. Davis was last seen at his home around 11:00 AM on June 4, 2025. He was driving a white 2014 Toyota Tundra pickup truck, bearing Florida tag number 38DBEU. Family members reported that Mr. Davis told them he intended to drive to Alabama.

Deputies confirmed that Mr. Davis suffers from memory issues, prompting his entry into the Florida Crime Information Center (FCIC) and National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as a Missing/Endangered Adult.
Law enforcement is urging anyone with information regarding Mr. Davis’s whereabouts to contact them immediately.
