Errol Musk, father of tech mogul Elon Musk, has dismissed the recent fiery online spat between his son and President Donald Trump as a temporary clash between “alphas” that he expects to “fizzle out in a few days.” Speaking exclusively to Al Arabiya English from the Delhi Airport lounge, the elder Musk described the high-profile exchange, which garnered global headlines, as “a bit silly” and attributed it to stress and fatigue among powerful individuals.

“When people have been through a great deal of stress… eventually people reach a point where they lash out,” Musk said. “Even at the highest levels, people struggle to find common ground.”

When questioned about the potential for lasting damage between the two prominent figures, Musk expressed confidence in a reconciliation. “Yes, of course,” he replied when asked if they would make amends. “I did send him a message… telling him, make sure this fizzles out.”

Elon Musk’s recent mention of Jeffrey Epstein during his online confrontation with Trump also came under scrutiny. Errol Musk admitted he was perplexed by his son’s decision to bring up the controversial figure.

“I have no idea what he was thinking… I can only imagine that’s just a silly mistake,” he stated, again suggesting stress, rather than strategy, was the underlying cause.

However, Errol Musk acknowledged his son’s concern about what Elon perceives as Democratic lawmakers using financial incentives to influence legislation, an issue believed to have sparked the initial online confrontation.

Despite the public nature of the feud, Errol Musk views it within a broader context of political performance and ego. “It’s like elephant bulls or alphas having a go at each other,” he remarked, suggesting no one is entirely without fault, quoting, “Let the innocent person cast the first stone.”

Having recently concluded a three-week visit to the US, Musk also claimed to have observed overwhelming grassroots support for Trump. “I would like to say 80 percent, but actually 100 percent [are] behind Trump,” he asserted.
