HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) has announced the arrest of two individuals, both with prior felony convictions, in connection with a shooting on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, that left a teenager injured.
Deputies responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting in the area of South 81st Street and Fir Drive in Progress Village at approximately 12:39 p.m. Upon arrival, they located a juvenile victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
HCSO detectives quickly identified the shooter’s vehicle and located it in Riverview. A traffic stop was conducted in the 10200 block of Newel Valley Loop, where the driver, identified as 38-year-old Antonio House, was taken into custody for driving on a suspended license.

A subsequent search warrant executed at a residence where Antonio House was staying led to the recovery of multiple firearms. Crucially, a Glock .40 caliber handgun found inside the residence was ballistically matched by the HCSO Firearms Laboratory to casings recovered at the scene of the shooting, confirming its connection to the crime.
Further investigation led detectives to the shared bedroom of 17-year-old Zoe’yae Jackson and 18-year-old Jaheim House, where additional evidence linked to the shooting was recovered. Based on the evidence and surveillance footage collected during the investigation, Jackson and Jaheim House were taken into custody.

“We will not allow our neighborhoods to become places of violence,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “This kind of behavior has no place in our community. We remain committed to protecting our residents and ensuring that violent offenders are held fully accountable.”
