The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in New York is offering a substantial reward of up to $10,000 for information that directly leads to the arrest and conviction of Joel Myrie, also known by his street name “Pookie.” Myrie is a wanted man facing serious charges of conspiracy to murder and attempted murder in connection with a violent drive-by shooting in Brooklyn.
Authorities allege that Myrie, a suspected member of the “No Love City” (NLC) gang – a subset of the notorious Gangster Disciples (GD) – was involved in a June 19, 2022, incident in the Canarsie area.

During the daylight shooting, Myrie and others are accused of firing multiple weapons into a crowded street, allegedly targeting a rival gang member. A 28-year-old bystander was shot and injured in the brazen attack.
Myrie was indicted on federal charges including conspiracy to murder and attempted murder in aid of racketeering, assault in aid of racketeering, and firearm offenses. A federal warrant for his arrest was issued on August 29, 2024.

Adding a bizarre twist to the manhunt, Myrie was reportedly seen on September 10, 2024, attempting to evade capture by disguising himself in a dress and a long-haired wig. It remains unclear if he is still maintaining this altered appearance.
The FBI is urging anyone with information concerning Joel “Pookie” Myrie to come forward. Tips can be reported directly to your local FBI office by calling 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or by submitting a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.
