A significant blow was dealt to the local drug trade on Thursday as Collier County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics detectives arrested a convicted felon and seized a massive cache of illicit drugs, including enough fentanyl to kill every person in Collier County.
Nesly Dieujuste, 38, was taken into custody at his residence on 48th Street SW. Detectives executing a search warrant discovered nearly 1.5 kilograms of fentanyl. According to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), this amount is potent enough to administer a lethal dose to approximately 750,000 people.

“It is my mission to rid our community of illegal drugs, especially the dangerous opioid fentanyl,” stated Sheriff Kevin Rambosk. “Our deputies will not stop until all narcotics are off the street, and anyone who harms our citizens by selling these drugs is in jail.”
The operation is a significant victory for Sheriff Rambosk’s “Laced & Lethal” campaign, an initiative designed to educate the public about the dangers of fentanyl while concentrating enforcement efforts on apprehending its distributors.
In addition to the fentanyl, the search of Dieujuste’s home yielded a staggering 2.75 kilograms of cocaine, 238 grams of heroin, and 1,000 grams of marijuana. Authorities also seized $306,669 in cash.

Detectives believe the sheer volume of narcotics and money recovered indicates that Dieujuste’s arrest will have a substantial impact on the availability of illicit drugs within Collier County.
Dieujuste, a convicted felon, was also found in possession of a firearm. He was arrested and transported to the Naples Jail Center, where he faces five felony charges: trafficking in fentanyl, trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in heroin, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of marijuana over 20 grams.
