TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Police Department is actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early this morning in the 6800 block of Adamo Drive. Officers responded to a report of shots fired at approximately 3:01 AM and discovered a deceased man in his 30s at the scene.
The early investigation has revealed that the incident stemmed from an altercation, and both parties involved were known to one another. Authorities have confirmed that the shooter, an adult male, is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
While the investigation is in its early stages, authorities have indicated that the shooting does not appear to be a random act of violence. This suggests that the incident may have been targeted, though police have not released further information regarding potential motives or individuals involved.
