DOVER, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is currently investigating the deaths of two individuals discovered inside a rental unit in Dover this afternoon.
At approximately 3:12 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2025, the HCSO Communications Center received a call reporting a deceased male with an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body.
Deputies were dispatched to the Oaklea Manor Apartments, located at 12783 East US Highway, arriving on the scene at 3:29 p.m.
Inside one of the rental units, deputies located the deceased male and made the grim discovery of a deceased female, also exhibiting upper body trauma.

HCSO detectives are actively working this case. While the investigation is ongoing, preliminary findings suggest this is an isolated incident, and there is no perceived threat to the general public.
The identities of the deceased will be released by the HCSO Public Affairs Office once next of kin have been notified.
