WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – A pedestrian was struck by a train early this morning in the vicinity of W G Roe Park, causing significant traffic disruptions throughout the City of Winter Haven.

While the pedestrian involved in the incident is reported to be alert and expected to make a full recovery, the stopped train is currently blocking multiple railroad crossings, creating a bottleneck for commuters.

The affected crossings include several key thoroughfares: Avenue R NW, Lake Shipp Road, and a significant stretch of 15th Street NW extending to 26th Street NW.
