POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Maribel Ortega of Auburndale has claimed a $1 million top prize from the Florida Lottery’s $1,000,000 GOLD RUSH MULTIPLIER Scratch-Off game. The announcement was made by Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
Ortega chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment totaling $638,100.00.
The winning ticket was purchased at the RaceTrac located at 2227 U.S. Highway 92 in Auburndale. For selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket, the retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission.

The $1,000,000 GOLD RUSH MULTIPLIER is a $5 Scratch-Off game that launched in January. According to the Florida Lottery, the game features six top prizes of $1 million and offers more than $120.3 million in total cash prizes, including 8.6 million winning tickets. The overall odds of winning for this game are 1-in-3.84.
