POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 35-year-old Bartow man with multiple outstanding felony warrants was apprehended by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office early Thursday morning after deputies discovered him hiding in a secret compartment beneath his residence. Jarred Kraizgrun was taken into custody after a brief standoff, authorities said.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies went to a home on Bowers Road in Bartow at approximately 2:45 am to inquire about Kraizgrun’s whereabouts. Kraizgrun was wanted on several felony warrants.

Upon searching the residence, deputies initially did not locate Kraizgrun. However, a closer inspection of his bedroom revealed an unusual feature: a fake wall that concealed an opening leading to a space underneath the house.

Deputies called into the hidden compartment, ordering Kraizgrun to surrender. When he refused to comply, deputies informed him that if he did not come out willingly, K9 Rone would be deployed.

Faced with the prospect of an encounter with the K9, Kraizgrun emerged from his hiding place and was taken into custody without further incident.
