Left-wing billionaire Bill Gates announced Thursday his giant philanthropic nonprofit will “double” its spending over the next two decades.

The Microsoft co-founder explained in a blog post that the Gates Foundation will give away “virtually all” of his wealth before it shuts down in December 2045. Gates wrote that the nonprofit will spend about $200 billion toward “saving and improving lives around the world” after it spent more than $100 billion in the past 25 years.

“Today’s announcement almost certainly marks the beginning of the last chapter of my career, and I’m okay with that,” Gates wrote.

Gates said the foundation will fund health initiatives to hopefully “eradicate malaria,” among other goals, so that “the next generation grows up in a world without deadly infectious diseases.” Other portions will support education, “digital public infrastructure,” and “new uses of artificial intelligence.” Gates’ post did not name specific funding recipients as part of the plans.

The Gates Foundation did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The foundation has funneled tens of millions of dollars toward liberal causes such as abortion and efforts against so-called “misinformation.” It gave $3.4 million to one nonprofit that recently joined a “Families Over Billionaires” coalition against President Donald Trump’s tax agenda, the DCNF previously reported. The foundation has also funded the left-leaning media outlet Texas Tribune.

The foundation’s foreign initiatives have included millions of dollars in grants to Chinese Communist Party (CCP) entities, primarily for projects focused on public health. In the online “misinformation” space, the foundation bankrolled London-based researchers who have partnered with tech platforms to target conservative viewpoints for censorship.

Gates wrote that he is “deeply proud of what we have accomplished in our first 25 years” while looking to the future.

On education, Gates wrote, “Our focus is on helping public schools ensure that all students can get ahead—especially those who typically face the greatest barriers, including Black and Latino students, and children from low-income backgrounds. ”

“Underpinning all our work—on health, agriculture, education, and beyond—is a focus on gender equality,” Gates declared. “Half the world’s smallholder farmers are women, and women stand to gain the most when they have access to education, health care, and financial services.”

Gates lamented that “systems often leave women behind.”

The billionaire stressed that his 20-year plan is dependent on convincing America, European countries and other nations to hand over taxpayers’ money.

“None of this progress is possible without partnership from governments,” he wrote.
